Recycled Art Commission - Cox Communications
Submission period open until March 10th, 2019. Artist commission will be awarded on March 15th, 2019.
Commission Description:
In celebration of Earth Day, artists are invited to submit a proposal for an art piece featuring materials from Cox Communication. The chosen proposal will be given access to materials, a $500 honorarium, and will have their completed work featured in a group exhibition celebrating the themes or reuse, re-purposing, and transformation. The finished piece will continue to be displayed at Cox Communications as part of their permanent art collection. See images below of available materials for use on this project:
Guidelines:
Entries must plan to be framed or gallery wrapped and ready to hang on Cox Communications’ hook system. Work should be no larger than 40” x 40” and not exceed a weight of more than 35 pounds. No free standing three dimensional art can be accommodated in this gallery. Artists may submit an plans and sketches of their proposed art piece as well as a written description as desired.

Exhibition duration: April 24th – July 24th, 2019
Drop off Artwork: April 24th, 2019 10am-11am
About the Gallery:
Cox Communications in Tucson, AZ is proud to host a collaborative community gallery space located at the Cox Communications Tucson Headquarters at 1440 E. 15th Street, Tucson, AZ 85719. The gallery showcases changing exhibitions \on the wall space within the Cox Communications hallways and entrance areas. Artwork is featured in high security spaces, as well as highly trafficked walkways for guests, clients and Cox Communications staff.
