Arizona Business Committee for the Arts, a program of Southern Arizona Arts & Cultural Alliance has partnered with MRA Associates to transform their office space into a work of art by dedicating wall space to feature artists on a rotational basis.
MRA Associates is a boutique, registered investment advisor Firm headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. They provide investment, wealth management, tax compliance and consulting services to individuals, families, corporate retirement plans, endowments and foundations, and sovereign nations throughout the Western United States. The Firm currently has more than $2 billion in assets under management and employs more than 40 professionals and support staff. MRA Associates has earned the prestigious CEFEX certification as an Investment Advisor. This is an independent assessment that recognizes the Firm's adherence to the industry’s best fiduciary practices.
THE EXHIBITION
We are looking for artists who produce original work in the themes of wellness, health, the human form and science. We invite you to submit your interpretations, in oil, acrylic, sketch or metal art mediums, that most successfully express how the arts and sciences blend together. This juried Exhibition will take place at MRA Associates' Community Gallery, 3200 E. Camelback Road, Suite 300, Phoenix, AZ 85018 from September 18, 2018 - January 10, 2019. The selected artists will be asked to submit a short "About the Artist" video for viewing by Gallery visitors.
IMPORTANT DATES:
- DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: Monday, July 2, 2018
- ART DROPOFF: Monday, September 17, 2018
- EXHIBITION DATES: September 18, 2018 - January 10, 2019
- OPEN HOUSE RECEPTION: Thursday, October 25, 2018
- ART PICKUP: Friday, January 11, 2019
Exhibition Guidelines:
- All submitted two dimensional artwork must be wired and ready to hang on a rod & hook hanging system in a gallery type setting. Please put wire hangers (horizontally) on the backs of all hanging artwork. Wire
should be placed no more than 3 inches down from the top of the frame and
pulled taut. Artwork that is not conductive to the rod & hook hanging system will not be hung in the gallery
space.
- Size: Minimum = 12” x 12” (not including frame) Maximum = 72" x 72”
and it must be original.
- There is limited space for three dimensional stand alone or pedestal (provided by the artist) art.
- All art is to be delivered to MRA Associates' Community Gallery on the Monday, September 17, 2018, between 10AM and 11AM and picked up on Friday, January 11, 2019 between 10AM and 11AM.
- SAACA Staff assigned to hang artists' work are not liable for any damage to the artwork while in process of hanging the artwork.
- Participants are to submit 10 PIECES to be considered for the gallery.
- If selected, artist must include image files (.jpg), URL or photocopy of each work for identification and review. Each image must be identified with title and artist's name.
- Fill out all information on application.
- All artwork must hang for the entirety of the exhibition dates. If an art piece is sold, the artist must replace the art with a similar piece of artwork. SAACA will broker any sales for a 10% commission on artwork. Artist will be responsible for any tax.
- Shipping and handling arrangements will arranged between the artist and purchaser.
- All participating artists are to deliver their artwork to MRA Associates at 3200 E. Camelback Road, Suite 300, Phoenix, AZ 85018.
Gallery Hours:
The Community Gallery is open Monday to Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Appointments are required. To make an appointment, please call 520-333-4088
